SHHS’s BSN (V2BSN) Project Awarded Million Dollar Grant

SHHS Accelerated Track for Vets to BSN (V2BSN) Project Grant Receives $1.05 Million Grant from the U.S. Department of Health &Human Services This fall will be a busy time for the Department of Nursing as it gears up to offer an accelerated track for medics and corpsman to take their military education and experience to the next level by earning a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) at National University.  This accelerated program will grant advanced standing by awarding college level credit using nationally recognized transcript evaluation methods, credit-by-examination options, and competency based evaluation of prior learning and experience. The project will be led by the Director (PD), SHHS Dean Gloria McNeal , herself a former Navy Corps Officer.  SSHS faculty and staff will work on this project that will involve two local naval hospitals in the San Diego area.  The project aims to take in 20 students in each cohort admitted twice per year.
