National University Student Nurses Association at the Convention

California Nursing Students' Association Convention was an amazing experience! 600 nursing students from California attended this event. From the local NU Chapter (NUSNA) Carrie Stone, Jennifer Bryan, Nicole Moreau and Michele Olive attended and represented the school as delegates.  They participated in discussions and voted on resolutions that affect nursing practice.  The resolutions that were passed will be sent to the American Nurses Association, hospitals in California, and other professional nursing organizations for consideration of implementation. NUSNA won the Outstanding Newsletter Award thanks to secretary, Maryanne Mesina.  Maryanne was unable to attend the convention due to illness, but was able to attend the award ceremony on Sunday where she also received a $1,000 scholarship.   The four delegates spent a lot of time meeting other nursing students and were very pleased to connect with NU Fresno's student president Ryan Rickley.  Please join me
