Dr. Patric Schiltz, Dr. Stephanie Eatmon, and Mellonie Brown Present at The Southern California Society of Radiation Therapists Meeting

On Ferbruary 4, 2012, Dr. Patric Schiltz, Chair of the Health Science Deparment, Dr. Stephanie Eatmon, Clinical Assistant Professor, and Mellonie Brown, Lead Faculty for the Bachelor of Sicence in Radiation Therapy, presented at the Southern Calofornia Society of Radiation Therapists in Orange, California. Dr. Schiltz presented on Allogenic Cytotoxic T-Lymphocytes as Immunotherapeutic Treatment of GBM while Dr. Eatmon presented on Radiation Therapy and a Culture of Safety and Mellonie Brown presented on A Continuing Competency Program for Treatment Error Reduction. SHHS Professor Wins the 2016 Jerry C. Lee Award!

Dr. Schiltz poses with his award at the September 2016 Fall Assembly. The School of Health and Human Services (SHHS) Department of Health Sciences Professor Patric Schiltz is this year's recipient of the prestigious Dr. Jerry C. Lee Outstanding Faculty Service Award.  Dr. Lee was the long time Chancellor at National University and each year the award is given in his honor by the Faculty Senate to a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional service to the university.  Dr. Schiltz is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Faculty Senate after serving as Secretary last year. His numerous services achievements include serving as the founding chair of the Health Sciences department, various committee work, and his recording and reporting of the faculty negotiations this past year.  Dr. Schiltz received the award at the Fall Assembly last month at the closing luncheon.

Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor Linda Travis Macomber was honored on May 4th by Athena, a San Diego-based business organization championing women executives and rising managers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  Athena's Pinnacle Awards are held each year in the spring to recognize extraordinary individuals and organizations who have shown dedication to in promoting Athena's mission of fostering the personal and professional growth of women through mentoring, education, recognition, and leadership training.
