MS in Nurse Anesthesia Receives Full accreditation from the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Programs

Dr. Bryan Tune announced today that the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) granted full accreditation to the National University MS in Nurse Anesthesia program. The program is located at the Fresno campus and will launch in April with an initial cohort of 12 students. Congratulations to Dr. Bryan Tune and Mr. Terrence Burrows for their outstanding leadership in building the program and achieving this prestigious accreditation. We become the fifth COA accredited programs in California.

SHHS Professor Wins the 2016 Jerry C. Lee Award!

Dr. Schiltz poses with his award at the September 2016 Fall Assembly. The School of Health and Human Services (SHHS) Department of Health Sciences Professor Patric Schiltz is this year's recipient of the prestigious Dr. Jerry C. Lee Outstanding Faculty Service Award.  Dr. Lee was the long time Chancellor at National University and each year the award is given in his honor by the Faculty Senate to a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional service to the university.  Dr. Schiltz is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Faculty Senate after serving as Secretary last year. His numerous services achievements include serving as the founding chair of the Health Sciences department, various committee work, and his recording and reporting of the faculty negotiations this past year.  Dr. Schiltz received the award at the Fall Assembly last month at the closing luncheon.

Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor Linda Travis Macomber was honored on May 4th by Athena, a San Diego-based business organization championing women executives and rising managers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  Athena's Pinnacle Awards are held each year in the spring to recognize extraordinary individuals and organizations who have shown dedication to in promoting Athena's mission of fostering the personal and professional growth of women through mentoring, education, recognition, and leadership training.
