It is my pleasure to introduce our newest addition to the
full-time faculty in the Department of Health Sciences, Dr. Ricardo Parker.
Ricardo is the new Program Lead for the BS in Allied Health Program.
Dr. Parker earned his PhD in Microbiology from Oregon State
University, and trained as a post-doctoral Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute. Since 1994, Dr. Parker has been a clinical
cancer scientist with his major research focus being the molecular biology of
cancer, mechanisms of chemotherapy drug resistance and the development of novel
clinical strategies and tools to predict and stratify treatment regimens toward
rational therapy of cancer patients. He is joining us from his most recent
position at Loma Linda University, where he provided leadership and direction
toward development and support of clinical research projects and clinical
trials involving infants and children.
We are excited to have Ricardo join us. Please help welcome
Ricardo to the Department and the School of Health and Human Services.
