The California-Nevada Public Health Training Center invites your staff to attend a free training entitled “Health Disparities, Health Equity, and Social Determinants of Health” on Thursday, August 4th from 1-5pm.
This training is designed to provide evidence on health disparities, identify their determinants, and discuss the challenges for achieving health equity. Topics will include definitions of health disparities and health equity, goals of Healthy People 2020, social determinants and how they impact health, strategies for achieving health equity, and roles of the public health workforce in eliminating disparities and achieving health equity.
