Mr. Kenneth Woodson, an MPH graduate, recently has his abstract accepted for a poster presentation at The Gerontological Society of America's 65th Annual Scientific Meeting, taking place in San Diego from November 14 to 18, 2012. The title of his paper is Mental health literacy: A research-based module for older adults . Congratulations to Kenneth!

Congratulations to Terrence Burrows, Assistant Director of the MS Nurse Anesthesia program in Fresno who was recently awarded a federal grant from the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) for a Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship (NAT). This is the first federal award for a SHHS faculty member and it will provide the opportunity to apply for further funding of traineeships.  This is the first time that Terrence has submitted for federal funding and he did it while on military deployment!  Great work!
